Conference Experience

Are you a student who is interested in the field of public opinion research? Begin your journey at the AAPOR 79th Annual  Conference!

We are offering a FREE AAPOR Conference Experience for a select number of students from underrepresented backgrounds to attend the conference in Atlanta. Students will also receive a poster presentation timeslot, a complimentary AAPOR student membership, up to $50 travel reimbursement, as well as lunch, snacks, and attendance at the Welcome Reception.

Participant’s schedule will include:

• Meeting the association president and conference co-chairs
• Having an assigned conference guide
• Participation in a professional development workshop
• A poster presentation competition timeslot
• Attendance at several sessions
• Time to meet attendees, exhibitors, mentors, fellow presenters, and committee members at the welcome reception

Eligibility Requirements:

• Current Graduate Student Studying Statistics, Communications, Public Opinion, Survey Methodology, Sociology, Public Policy, Psychology, Political Science, STEM, or other directly related fields
• Local to or able to travel to Atlanta, GA
• Submit Research to Present. Eligible original research is open to poster, paper, project, or theory
