Meet the 2026–27 Executive Council Candidates
03/02/2026
On behalf of the 2026 AAPOR Nominations Committee, I am pleased to announce the slate of candidates for the 2026–2027 Executive Council.
The Nominations Committee aimed to cast a wide net in assembling this year’s slate, seeking talented AAPOR members who reflect the full diversity of our association and bring fresh perspectives with enthusiasm for maintaining AAPOR’s strength and vitality. The committee carefully reviewed a broad pool of formally nominated or recommended members and identified outstanding potential nominees for the Council’s consideration. From this group, the Council selected the final slate during a meeting in late January.
AAPOR is your association, and you select its Council. While you may be familiar with some of the individuals on this list, I encourage you to familiarize yourself with everyone’s biographical statements and thoughtful responses to questions about their experience and aspirations to ensure an informed election process.
Online voting in the Executive Council election will open on March 23, 2026, and end at 11:59 pm ET on April 8, 2026. To vote, you must have renewed your membership for 2026. You can renew your membership here. Members without valid email addresses will receive paper ballots.

I will present the names and petitions to the Executive Council for final review and approval.
Please join me in thanking all our fellow AAPOR members who have agreed to stand for election this year and, if elected, to serve AAPOR diligently. I would also like to thank the members of the Nominations Committee: Shakari Byerley, Mario Callegaor, Stephanie Eckman, Jordon Peugh, Luis Tipan, Douglas Williams, and Ting Yan.
