Global Research Affinity Group
06/12/2026
The Global Research Affinity Group connects members working in and across international, cross-national, and multicultural research. It serves as a collaborative home for researchers whose work, careers, and interests increasingly span borders, cultures, and identities, helping ensure that global perspectives inform AAPOR’s learning, programming, and practice.
The group advances and supports knowledge-sharing, professional development, and community engagement, while fostering conversations on transnational issues such as migration, AI, digital trust, multilingual research, privacy, and inclusion. It also creates opportunities to elevate member work, strengthen global research connections, expand talent pipelines and pathways for collaboration across global research communities and associations at a member-level.
Our Strategic Activities include:
- An annual Global Research Panel at the AAPOR Annual Conference with members of sister organizations, where possible
- Virtual events and webinars connecting members across borders for those who could not attend our sessions at the in-person conference
- Supporting and promoting online and offline global research initiatives (conversations, events and opportunities) of interest and relevance to AAPOR members
