BAAPOR brings together AAPOR members, opinion research professionals, and scholars to:

• Advance the study and exploration of the attitudes and opinions of Black, African American, and African diaspora populations—including, but limited to, those who identify as Black and biracial/mixed race or ethnicity, Afro-Latino/a/x, Afro-Caribbean and African;
• Help advance and promote equity in the study of issues relevant to Black, African American, and African diaspora populations;
• Identify meaningful ways to increase the number of Black, African American, and African diaspora-identifying professionals in the field of public opinion; and
• Raise the visibility of our members.

The affinity group is open to all AAPOR members and prospective members who are interested in Black/African American/African diaspora public opinion and/or research topics relevant to Black, African American, and African diaspora populations.
